Bastin
After obtaining
her honours degree in law from Durham University Jane trained in Derby
during which time she had the opportunity
to deal with a variety of different agricultural property matters. She
qualified in 1981 and thereafter worked in the legal department of The
National Trust in London where she dealt with property work on some of
the Trust’s largest land holdings, including Kinder Scout and Cadair
Idris.
On returning to Derbyshire she spent seven years as an assistant solicitor
with the Derbyshire Building Society in Duffield, followed by six years
running the Ashbourne branch office of a Derby based firm dealing again
with property related matters.
She brings to the team a wealth of experience particularly in
rural property matters. Jane now acts as a conveyancing consultant with
the firm.
