Matthew began his working life as a lifestock farmer and subsequently qualified as a solicitor, training with a leading North Staffordshire firm of solicitors. His hands-on experience gives him an ability to work together with farming clients to ensure practical solutions to their problems.

Matthew specialises in the areas of Wills and Probate, Tax Planning and Trusts.

In addition to his membership of the Agricultural Law Association, Matthew is also a member of the Derby and District Law Society. He is a former Committee Member of the Derbyshire Rural Helpline & the Ashbourne National Farmers Union, and a former Chairman of the Ashbourne Young Farmers Club .
