Succession applications
For those involved with succession applications whether on the retirement
or death of a tenant of agricultural property the rules for those wishing
to apply to succeed have changed with the introduction with effect from
the 15th January 2008 of the Agricultural Land Tribunal (Rules) Order 2007.
The Rules themselves, as well as the application forms can be downloaded
from the Government website. With the introduction of a Statement of Truth
to be signed by the applicant in each case the need for accuracy, and in
our opinion more detail than has often been disclosed previously, is vital.
The old days of vague answers to questions or ‘to follow’ should
now be consigned to history.
