Nigel Davis Solicitors were one of the main local sponsors for the English
National Sheep Dog Trials held at Dovedale at the beginning of August, the
first time the Nationals have been held at Dovedale since 1967.
Nigel Davis himself took over as acting Secretary whilst Sarah Stubbs was
on maternity leave and was greatly assisted by Vivienne Hollick.
There were three excellent days of sheep dog trialling and over 10,000 people
attended the event much to the delight of organisers and the ISDS alike.
The trade stands and in particular the craft marquee and farmers market were
extremely well attended.
Dog runners haled the Dovedale event as one of the best English Nationals
ever. The Champion and hence captain of the English team for the International
Sheep Dog Trials was Derek Scrimegour with his dog Killibrae Laddie.
