Wellesley-Smith
Having been
brought up on an arable farm in East Yorkshire, Victoria has always been
close to the land. She went from home to Bristol
University to read archaeology and history of art before qualifying as
a solicitor in 2000.
Throughout her career she has specialised in agricultural
law, training and working for one of the North West’s leading agricultural
law practices. Over the years she has gained valuable experience in a number
of areas including the buying and selling of farms, negotiating claw back
and pre-emption provisions, creating and terminating farm business tenancy
agreements, dealing with landlord and tenant disputes, Single Payment Scheme
issues, tenancy succession cases, problems relating to moorland, common
land and sheep gaits and the creation and dissolution of farming partnerships.
She believes in keeping every client properly and clearly informed by providing
a practical and methodical service tailored to the individual client’s
needs.
